Keeping on top of new features – D365 and Power Platform

Welcome to the blog! In this first post, I want to highlight an incredible tool from Microsoft designed to help you stay on top of new features—whether they’re currently planned, coming soon, or ready to try right now.

With Microsoft Ignite just around the corner (sign up here) and the 2024 release wave 2 coming out last week, we are currently hearing all about the exciting features set to roll out over the coming year. Keeping track of when these features become available for testing can sometimes feel like a daunting task.

Enter the Microsoft Release Planner.

The Microsoft Release Planner provides a comprehensive view of all upcoming features, complete with filters for specific products and statuses—planned, coming soon, or try now. It not only lets us explore descriptions of features but also allows us to save those that catch our interest. Additionally, it offers unique filtering options, like viewing features released in preview within the last 7 days. This is a great way to get your hands on items as they are released.

If your team is focused on a certain area, you can also create your own release plans and share these with the team, allowing everybody to keep track of what is important to your organisation.

So if like me, your overwhelmed by the amount of new features every 6 months when the new release plan is released, why not check out the Microsoft Release Planner at the link below!

I will also be keeping this blog updated with release summaries to make keeping up to date even easier!
